Experience

Anthony Armstrong has extensive experience in Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery. He trained in Dentistry(BDS Hons) before going on to study Medicine(MB Hons) and Surgery(ChB Hons). All three undergraduate degrees were awarded with Honours. Anthony went on to complete his surgical plastic surgery training in Yorkshire, London, Australia and United States of America.

During his training Anthony successfully passed the FRCS(Eng) examination in General Surgery and became a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He completed his Advanced Training in Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery in 2000. Anthony was fortunate that he has worked with leaders in the field of Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery in the world and his training included some of the most famous hospitals, including The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, The Royal Brisbane Hospital, Australia and Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.

Mr Armstrong undertook specific training in Cosmetic Surgery as a Fellow in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Surgery, at The Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood, London.

Having competed his advanced plastic surgery training and successfully passed the Intercollegiate Board examination in plastic surgery (FRCS Plast) he completed his training was awarded a CCST (Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training).

Anthony is registered as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery on the register of the General Medical Council (GMC).

In 2000, Anthony was appointed as a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at Heatherwood & Wexham Park NHS Hospitals Foundation Trust, Berkshire.

More recently, Anthony has honoured to be appointed jointly by BAPRAS and The Royal College of Surgeons of England to the post of Speciality Surgical Tutor in Aesthetic Surgery.

Mr Armstrong holds private clinics in:

  1. Windsor (Spire Windsor Clinic & Princess Margaret Hospital)
  2. Reading (Dunedin Hospital)
  3. Guildford (Nuffield Hospital)
  4. Woking (Nuffield Hospital).

Mr Armstrong's special interests include:

  • Skin Cancer Surgery
  • Hand & Wrist Surgery
  • Reconstructive Surgery, particularly of the breast
  • All forms of Cosmetic Surgery, including Non-Surgical & Surgical

Anthony Armstrong is a member of the  British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and is also a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He is a member of the British Medical Association (BMA). He is recognised by all the major private health insurers (BUPA, PPP, Simply Health, Aviva etc) to provide treatment for their clients.

Anthony, has throughout his consultant career, taken an active interest in training the next generation of plastic surgeons and setting the standards of surgical training in plastic & reconstructive surgery within the United Kingdom. Positions he has held in plastic surgery include:
